We are currently seeking an experienced Joinery Working Foreman for a school refurbishment project in Leyland. This is a hands-on role where you will be leading a small team of joiners, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to a high standard - while also working on the tools as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise joinery and general site works in line with programme and safety standards
- Carry out joinery tasks including installation and general carpentry
- Coordinate daily site operations and trades
- Ensure quality control and site safety compliance
- Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and school staff where needed
Requirements:
- SSSTS or SMSTS (Mandatory)
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (Must be valid and current)
- CSCS Card (Skilled Worker or higher)
- Proven experience in a working foreman or supervisory joinery role
- Able to lead a small team while being hands-on
- Strong knowledge of health & safety on live school sites
