As part of their continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Commercial Director to provide strategic commercial leadership across their national Housing Partnerships portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Providing strategic commercial leadership across a nationwide portfolio of Housing Partnership contracts
  • Leading the commercial function across multiple long-term, multi-million-pound reactive repairs and planned refurbishment contracts
  • Taking a partnership-led, account management approach to strengthen and develop long-term client relationships
  • Driving commercial performance by maximising profitability, controlling costs, and identifying opportunities for growth
  • Providing commercial oversight from bid stage through to final account
  • Supporting regional operational and commercial teams to ensure consistency across multiple business units
  • Managing commercial risk through effective contract review, governance, and negotiation
  • Reviewing financial performance, including CVRs, forecasts, and profitability reporting
  • Identifying opportunities to expand existing client relationships and secure additional works
  • Working collaboratively with Commercial, Operational, Finance, and Senior Leadership teams to achieve business objectives
  • Supporting dispute resolution and providing strategic commercial guidance where required
  • Ensuring robust commercial governance and compliance across the business

Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience in a senior commercial leadership role within the construction or property services sector
  • Previous experience working within Social Housing, Reactive Maintenance, Planned Works, or Property Refurbishment
  • Experience managing multi-region or national contracts
  • Strong commercial acumen with an excellent understanding of contract management and commercial governance
  • A strategic approach to client relationship management and long-term partnership development
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior level
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing commercial teams
  • Strong financial management skills, including CVR reporting, forecasting, and profit improvement
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Willingness to travel nationally as required
