This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Planner to join an established construction team and play a key role in the successful delivery of a growing portfolio.
The Role
Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Planner to join their team in Warrington. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining and monitoring construction programmes across a range of residential projects, working closely with project teams, subcontractors, consultants and clients to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and in line with agreed programmes. The successful candidate will be Asta Powerproject proficient and have strong experience within the construction sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing detailed construction programmes from pre-construction through to completion
- Producing and maintaining baseline and detailed project programmes
- Monitoring progress against agreed programmes and identifying potential delays
- Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and Commercial Teams
- Updating programmes and providing regular progress reports
- Identifying programme risks and developing mitigation strategies
- Reviewing subcontractor programmes and ensuring alignment with the overall project programme
- Supporting the preparation of tender and pre-construction programmes
- Assisting with short, medium and long-term planning
- Producing progress reports and programme updates for internal and external stakeholders
- Attending project and progress meetings where required
- Providing planning and programme support to operational teams
- Ensuring key milestones and critical path activities are identified and managed
- Supporting the commercial team with programme-related information and potential delay matters
- Maintaining accurate project records and programme documentation
The Ideal Candidate
The successful Planner will ideally have:
- Proven experience working as a Planner within the construction industry
- Strong experience within residential construction / housebuilding would be advantageous
- Excellent knowledge of construction programming and planning
- Asta Powerproject proficiency is essential
- Experience producing programmes from pre-construction through to project completion
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing
- Experience monitoring progress and identifying programme risks
- Ability to analyse and manage critical path activities
- Experience working closely with site and commercial teams
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Relevant construction qualification or equivalent experience would be advantageous
- Full UK driving licence
