Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to recruit an Estimator to join their expanding team. Key Responsibilities
- Preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates and tender submissions
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
- Carrying out take-offs and measurements from drawings
- Obtaining and analysing quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
- Assisting in the preparation of project budgets and cost plans
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments
- Supporting the commercial and project teams throughout the tender process
- Ensuring submissions are completed accurately and within deadlines
- Identifying value engineering opportunities where appropriate
Requirements
- Previous estimating experience within roofing, cladding, construction, or a related industry would be advantageous
- Junior candidates with construction knowledge and a willingness to learn will also be considered
- Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages
- Knowledge of estimating software would be beneficial but not essential
