A growing and forward-thinking residential developer delivering high-quality design & build housing schemes across the North West. Due to continued growth, an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor is required to support the commercial delivery of multiple residential developments from pre-construction through to final account. Working closely with operational teams, subcontractors, and senior management, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered profitably and efficiently.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the commercial aspects of D&B housing developments from inception to completion
  • Preparing and managing project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
  • Procuring subcontractors and negotiating contract terms
  • Managing subcontractor accounts, valuations, variations, and final accounts
  • Monitoring project costs and identifying opportunities for cost savings and value engineering
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards
  • Producing accurate monthly CVRs and financial reporting
  • Working collaboratively with site and project management teams to support successful project delivery
  • Managing risk and resolving commercial issues effectively
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors

The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will have:

  • Proven experience as a Senior QS within the residential construction sector
  • Strong knowledge of D&B housing projects
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent understanding of JCT contracts and commercial processes
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and financial management skills
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline preferred
  • Full UK driving licence
