An established and growing main contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a new-build industrial development. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected business with a strong pipeline of work across the industrial, commercial, education, retail and residential sectors.
The successful Project Manager will take full responsibility for the delivery of the project from inception through to completion, ensuring the scheme is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage the construction programme, ensuring key milestones and project deadlines are achieved.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to maintain productivity, quality and programme.
- Oversee the day-to-day delivery of the scheme, ensuring works are executed efficiently and in accordance with project specifications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the client, consultants and key stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact throughout the project.
- Ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
- Maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance across all phases of the project.
- Monitor project performance, identify and manage risks, and implement effective solutions to maintain programme and budget.
- Ensure effective coordination between all trades and disciplines, managing site logistics and sequencing to achieve successful project delivery.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and the client, providing updates on programme, cost and project performance.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager with a recognised main contractor, successfully delivering construction projects from inception through to completion.
- Demonstrable experience delivering new-build industrial, commercial or large-scale construction projects, ideally valued around £10m.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, programme management and project logistics.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage and motivate multidisciplinary site teams.
- Commercially aware with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Able to build positive working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams.
- Relevant construction qualifications including SMSTS, First Aid and a valid CSCS card.
