Our client, a well-established civils and groundworks contractor based in the North West, is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join their senior delivery team.

The Role:

  • Lead and manage site and project engineers across multiple civils and groundworks schemes
  • Oversee setting-out, quality assurance, and technical compliance
  • Review drawings, specifications, and methodologies, identifying and resolving technical issues
  • Ensure engineering standards, procedures, and best practice are maintained across projects
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Commercial teams, and Directors to support successful project delivery
  • Manage surveys, temporary works coordination, and subcontract engineering input where required
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers within the business

About You:

  • Proven experience in an Engineering Manager or Senior Engineer role within civils and groundworks
  • Strong technical knowledge of earthworks, drainage, roads, and infrastructure
  • Experience managing engineering teams on live construction sites
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem solving
  • Relevant engineering qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
