General Construction Operative (Social Housing / Responsive Maintenance)
Location: Warrington / St Helens
Pay: 16.70 per hour (PAYE Umbrella)
Job Type: Temporary-to-Permenant
We are currently recruiting for a General Construction Operative to join a busy team working within social housing and responsive maintenance across the Warrington and St Helens areas.
Role Overview
This is a hands‑on role supporting a range of maintenance and repair works, with a strong focus on roof labouring and general construction duties. You will be working on occupied and void properties, delivering high‑quality service to tenants.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with all aspects of roof labouring
- Carrying out general construction and maintenance tasks
- Supporting trades on‑site across responsive and planned works
- Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
Requirements
- Valid CSCS Card
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience in social housing or maintenance work (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and reliability
