Senior Contracts Manager Industrial Roofing & Cladding Contractor Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 + Company Vehicle / Car Allowance + Performance Bonus The Opportunity We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join an established and growing specialist industrial roofing and cladding contractor. This is a senior leadership position, reporting directly to the Managing Director, with responsibility for overseeing the Contracts Management function and ensuring projects are delivered safely, commercially and to the highest possible standard. The business specialises in industrial and commercial roofing, sheeting and cladding, with approximately 90% of its work focused on refurbishment projects. The successful candidate will provide leadership and support to the existing Contracts Managers, while maintaining oversight of major projects, commercial performance, client relationships and operational delivery. Key Responsibilities Provide senior leadership and direction to the Contracts Management team. Oversee and support a team of Contracts Managers across multiple roofing and cladding projects. Report directly to the Managing Director on operational performance, project progress, commercial performance and key risks. Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. Maintain strong oversight of project costs, margins, variations, valuations and final accounts. Review project programmes and ensure effective management of labour, materials, subcontractors and resources. Support Contracts Managers with complex commercial, operational and client-related issues. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, main contractors, suppliers and key stakeholders. Attend client and project meetings where required, acting as a senior representative of the business. Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with company procedures, health & safety requirements and relevant legislation. Maintain a strong focus on quality, compliance and customer satisfaction. Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, project performance and profitability. Assist with pre-construction activities, tender reviews and project handovers where required. Monitor workload and capacity across the Contracts Management team. Mentor, support and develop Contracts Managers to strengthen the wider management team. Escalate significant commercial, contractual, programme or operational issues to the Managing Director. Contribute to the continued growth and development of the business. About You We are looking for an established Senior Contracts Manager / Contracts Manager with a strong background in industrial roofing, sheeting and cladding, ideally with significant experience working on refurbishment projects. You will be commercially astute, operationally strong and confident managing both people and projects. The ideal candidate will have: Significant experience within industrial or commercial roofing and cladding. Strong experience managing refurbishment projects, ideally including overcladding, strip and renewal and live industrial sites. Previous experience managing and developing Contracts Managers or a wider project delivery team. Strong commercial awareness, including project costs, margins, variations and final accounts. Excellent client and stakeholder management skills. Strong leadership and decision-making abilities. The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Excellent communication and organisational skills. A proactive approach to problem-solving and project delivery. A strong understanding of health & safety and quality requirements within the roofing and cladding sector. The confidence to operate at senior level and work closely with the Managing Director.
