We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Electrician to support the delivery of efficient, customer-focused repairs and maintenance services across our residential property portfolio. You’ll play a vital role in supporting sustainable communities and contributing to a high-performing repairs and voids service aligned with business goals and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical repairs, installations, maintenance, and associated patch plastering work in domestic and commercial properties.
  • Deliver all services in line with current regulations and internal procedures.
  • Carry out multi-skilled tasks as defined by internal standards.
  • Build effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Accurately record data on job completion, including ordering follow-up work and materials via PDA systems.
  • Proactively communicate with customers regarding appointments and estimated arrival times.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, risk assessments, and COSHH requirements.
  • Perform dynamic risk assessments for each job and manage any identified risks safely.
  • Maintain and be responsible for a company vehicle.
  • Complete all necessary documentation, including Part P building reports.
  • Supervise apprentices, ensuring they are supported and work safely to company standards.
  • Identify and report additional repair or maintenance issues, including those affecting building safety such as damp and mould.
  • Promote safeguarding for children and vulnerable adults across all interactions.
  • Represent the organisation professionally and uphold its values in all activities.
  • Engage in personal development and training to support performance and service goals.
  • Conduct HHSRS assessments when needed.
  • Carry out other reasonable duties associated with the role.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant trade, including BS 7671 to 18th Edition.
  • Progress toward or completion of 2391, 2394, and 2395 Inspection & Testing qualifications.
  • Full UK Driving Licence – essential.
  • Relevant experience within social housing.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical repair, maintenance, and installation.
  • Understanding of current industry regulations and modern working practices.
  • Awareness of Health & Safety legislation relating to repairs and maintenance.
  • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varied conditions.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Proficient in using IT systems such as Microsoft Office, housing maintenance platforms, and PDAs.
  • Previous experience managing a variable workload and delivering to performance targets.
