Location - Runcorn

Salary/Package - £60,000 to £65,000 + Excellent Benefits Package

Due to continued expansion, they are now seeking a commercially focused Finance Business Partner to join their finance team and play a key role in supporting strategic business decisions.

The Role

  • Producing timely and accurate monthly management accounts and board reports
  • Preparing order book reporting, cash flow forecasts, and financial performance analysis
  • Partnering with operational teams and senior leadership to provide financial insight and support commercial decision-making
  • Overseeing month-end reporting processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and control account reconciliations
  • Monitoring financial reporting dashboards and key business performance indicators
  • Supporting statutory reporting requirements and external audit activities
  • Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and internal controls
  • Supporting business planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities
  • Managing, mentoring, and developing a Finance Assistant
  • Driving continuous improvement across finance systems and reporting processes

The Ideal Candidate

  • CIMA or ACA qualification (or be working towards qualification)
  • Previous experience within a Finance Business Partner, Finance Manager, Management Accountant, Assistant Finance Manager, or Audit role
  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insight
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong financial systems knowledge
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive approach to process improvement and continuous development
  • Experience within construction, housing, engineering, or another project-based environment would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of COINS, Anaplan, or similar ERP systems would be beneficial
