Joiner (Permanent)

Hours: 40 hours per week
Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:30
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Joiner to join a well-established housing provider on a permanent basis, carrying out repairs and maintenance works across Peterborough and the surrounding local area.
You will be working across occupied and void domestic properties, carrying out a range of joinery installations and repairs including doors, kitchens, flooring and internal fittings.
This role would suit a reliable and customer-focused Joiner who is confident working independently within customers' homes and delivering high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out joinery installations and repairs within domestic properties
- Completing works including doors, kitchens, flooring and internal fittings
- Working across occupied and void properties
- Travelling between jobs using a company van
- Working independently and alongside other trades
- Working to agreed specifications, reports and quality standards
- Protecting customers' homes and belongings while carrying out works
- Completing required paperwork and recording work using digital systems
- Working closely with supervisors, schedulers and wider teams
- Supporting apprentices and contributing to team performance
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates should have:
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Joinery
- Proven experience working as a Joiner
- Previous experience within social housing or domestic properties is desirable
- Full UK Driving xgikmsk Licence
- Must be based within the PE postcode area
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- Willingness to complete a Basic DBS check
