Our client is a trusted roofing contractor delivering high-quality roofing solutions across commercial and residential projects. With a strong reputation for reliability, workmanship, and safety, we continue to grow and are now looking to strengthen our commercial team with an experienced Quantity Surveyor.
They are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to oversee the commercial and financial management of roofing projects from tender through to final account. This is a key role supporting project delivery, cost control, and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Preparing cost plans, budgets, and cash flow forecasts
- Managing valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Measuring works and producing accurate cost reports
- Subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and account management
- Monitoring project costs to ensure financial targets are met
- Supporting tender submissions and pricing work
- Working closely with project managers, site teams, and clients
- Ensuring compliance with contractual and commercial procedures
About You
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction (roofing experience desirable but not essential)
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and cost control
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Proficient in MS Excel and relevant commercial software
- Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (preferred)
