Project Quantity Surveyor Job Type: Permanent Our client is a growing and forward-thinking residential developer delivering high-quality, energy-efficient housing schemes across the North West. Working across private sale, affordable housing, and build-to-rent developments, they continue to expand their presence throughout Greater Manchester and the surrounding regions. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured projects, they are now looking to appoint a Project Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of low-rise apartment developments valued up to £30 million. We are seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team delivering low-rise apartment developments across Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware individual looking to take ownership of projects within a growing residential developer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account, working closely with operational and commercial teams to ensure projects are delivered on budget and maximise profitability. Manage the commercial delivery of residential apartment developments from pre-construction through to final account Prepare subcontractor enquiry packages, analyse tenders, and manage procurement activities Negotiate and appoint subcontractors in line with project budgets and programme requirements Manage subcontractor accounts including valuations, variations, payments, and final accounts Monitor project costs and identify commercial risks and value engineering opportunities Assist with the preparation and submission of client valuations and commercial reporting Work closely with site and operational teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle Support the Commercial Manager with overall business and project objectivesRequirements Previous experience in a Quantity Surveyor or Project Quantity Surveyor role within construction or residential development Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes Proven experience managing subcontractor procurement and accounts Ability to manage project costs, reporting, and forecasting independently Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management Good IT skills including Excel and commercial reporting systems Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced project environmentDesirable: Experience working for a residential developer or main contractor Experience working on projects valued up to £30mWhy Apply?
