Our client is a well-established and growing fit-out contractor operating across the North West, delivering high-quality commercial, retail, education, and workplace refurbishment projects. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support projects across the region and help drive a positive safety culture throughout the business.
The Role:
Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for promoting and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and wellbeing across multiple fit-out and refurbishment projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive health and safety professional who enjoys working closely with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits across multiple projects.
- Provide practical health and safety advice to site management teams.
- Ensure compliance with current HSE legislation and company policies.
- Review and assist with risk assessments, method statements, and construction phase plans.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, producing reports and recommendations.
- Deliver toolbox talks and support health and safety training initiatives.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance and site safety performance.
- Maintain accurate health and safety records and documentation.
- Support the development and implementation of health and safety procedures and best practices.
- Promote a positive and proactive safety culture throughout the organisation.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Health & Safety Advisor position within construction, fit-out, refurbishment, or a related sector.
- NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum (Construction Certificate desirable).
- Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and CDM regulations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple sites.
- Full UK driving licence.
