About Our Client
Our client is a respected Social Housing provider in the Manchester area, known for delivering safe, efficient, and customer-focused property services across their housing stock. With a strong commitment to maintaining high standards and ensuring tenant satisfaction, they provide a steady workflow and a supportive working environment for their engineering teams.
The Role
They are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Gas Engineer to join their team on a long-term contract. Working across the M14 and M15 areas, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out pre-entry inspections and CP12 checks across a portfolio of social housing properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-entry checks and complete CP12 gas safety certificates
- Carry out servicing and safety inspections in domestic properties
- Ensure all work complies with current gas safety and health & safety regulations
- Demonstrate professionalism and provide excellent customer service to tenants
- Manage workload effectively and work independently across multiple sites
Candidate Profile
- ACS qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1, CPA1) - commercial tickets desirable (COCN1, CODNCO1 etc.)
- NVQ in a relevant gas or plumbing
- Proven experience in domestic and/or commercial gas systems
- Full UK driving licence with own van and tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
