The business provides a broad portfolio of premium building and interior products, including sanitaryware and mixers, porcelain tiles, LVT flooring, German kitchens and wardrobes, as well as curtain wall and glass façade solutions. The company works with contractors, developers, architects, designers and other project stakeholders, supplying products across major construction and interior projects. With a strong focus on design, quality and value, the business is continuing to develop its presence within the UK market and is looking to appoint an ambitious Business Development & Outdoor Sales Representative to help drive further growth. The Role This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Business Development, Sales or Outdoor Sales professional with a background in construction, building materials, interiors or property. You will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities across the UK, with a particular focus on the Manchester and wider North West market. The role will involve a mixture of new business development, face-to-face client visits, networking, relationship management and sales generation, targeting contractors, developers, architects, interior designers, fit-out companies and other relevant businesses. You will be expected to take ownership of your sales pipeline, proactively identify opportunities and build long-term relationships that generate repeat business. Key Responsibilities Identify and develop new business opportunities across the UK. Proactively research and approach prospective clients and businesses. Develop relationships with contractors, developers, architects, interior designers and fit-out companies. Arrange and attend face-to-face meetings, site visits and client appointments. Introduce the company's range of building materials and interior solutions. Generate qualified leads and convert opportunities into new business. Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline. Follow up enquiries, leads and quotations to maximise conversion. Build strong, long-term relationships with new and existing customers. Identify upcoming construction and development projects where the company's products could be specified or supplied. Network within the construction, property and interiors sectors to generate new opportunities. Maintain accurate records of prospects, meetings, site visits and sales opportunities. Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are understood and opportunities are progressed effectively. Monitor market activity and identify potential new sectors, customers and opportunities. Contribute towards agreed sales and business development targets. Requirements Previous experience in outdoor sales, field sales or business development. Experience within construction, building materials, interiors, property or a related sector would be highly advantageous. A strong understanding of the construction and/or interiors market. Existing contacts across contractors, developers, architects, designers or fit-out companies would be advantageous. Proven ability to identify and generate new business. Strong communication, presentation and networking skills. Confident conducting face-to-face meetings with clients and prospects. Commercially aware with a strong sales mindset. Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently. Organised with the ability to manage multiple prospects and opportunities. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
