The Opportunity
Our client is one of the fastest-growing housing associations in the Northwest, offering excellent long-term prospects within their responsive maintenance team. They are now looking for an experienced Painter & Decorator to join their Liverpool team, working across both occupied and void social housing properties.
Key Duties
- All aspects of internal and external painting & decorating
- Preparing surfaces including sanding, filling, patch plastering, and making good
- Applying undercoats, gloss, emulsion, varnish, and specialist coatings
- Wallpapering, stripping old wallpaper, and ensuring smooth finishes
- Minor multi-trade tasks (e.g., basic joinery, sealing, small repairs)
- Working on both planned and reactive maintenance in domestic properties
- Using PDA systems to receive, manage, and update daily work orders
- Engaging positively with tenants, delivering excellent customer service
- Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with health & safety guidelines
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 in Painting & Decorating or proven equivalent experience
- Previous experience working in social housing or domestic occupied properties
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- Experience using PDA systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Must be clean shaven for Face Fit testing
- No more than 6 points on licence; no alcohol/drug-related bans
