Our client, a well-established specialist in roofing and cladding, is seeking a site-based Quantity Surveyor to support a major recladding project in Leeds. This is a freelance, short-term assignment, ideal for someone looking for flexibility and hands-on site involvement.
The Project
A full reclad of a mid-rise building valued at approximately £10 million. The scheme involves removal and replacement of existing cladding systems to meet current safety and performance standards.
Role Responsibilities
- Identifying and assessing variations and change orders
- Conducting measurements and preparing take-offs
- Managing and signing off subcontractor accounts
- Assisting with valuations, progress reporting, and cost control
- Supporting the team in ensuring all commercial processes are followed
- Liaising with site and design teams to maintain cost accuracy and financial visibility
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on cladding or façade projects (essential)
- Strong understanding of variations, measures, and subcontractor management
- Ability to work independently and confidently on site
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Flexibility with working days depending on project demands
The Offer
- Freelance / Contract position
- 3 days per week (site-based, Leeds)
- £300 - £350 per day

- Duration: Through to February 2026 minimum (potential to extend)
