The Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team and take responsibility for the commercial management of fit-out and interior projects.
Working closely with the Project and Delivery Teams, you will manage projects from procurement through to final account, ensuring costs are controlled, commercial risks are identified and projects are delivered profitably.
This role would suit a Quantity Surveyor with a strong fit-out, interiors, joinery or specialist subcontractor background who is looking to join a growing business with an interesting and varied project portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial management of fit-out and interior projects from pre-construction through to final account
- Managing project budgets, costs and financial performance
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and project documentation
- Assisting with procurement and tendering of subcontract and supplier packages
- Obtaining and analysing xgikmsk subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Preparing and issuing subcontract orders
- Negotiating commercial terms with subcontractors and suppliers
- Preparing and reviewing valuations and applications for payment
- Managing variations, changes and additional works
- Maintaining accurate cost and commercial records
- Preparing monthly cost reports and forecasts
- Monitoring project performance against budget
