My client are a leading, award-winning construction company with a long-standing reputation within the industry. They deliver a wide-range of services including new build, fit-out, refurbishment, housing, education, commercial, and healthcare projects. They are now recruiting for an Estimator to join their business. You'll have the opportunity for hybrid working, working on fit out schemes valued at up to £5m. Duties to include: Review project specifications and drawings to understand the scope of work. Prepare detailed cost estimates for all materials, labour, and equipment required for the project. Perform quantity take-offs from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings. Source and obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for various trades involved. Analyse subcontractor bids to ensure compliance with project requirements. Develop and maintain a database of costs for labour, materials, and subcontractors. Identify project risks and contingencies to include in the estimate. Collaborate with the project team to ensure the estimate reflects the project's goals. Prepare tender submissions and proposals for clients. Assist in value engineering by identifying cost-saving opportunities.
