As an On-Site Estimator you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and within budget. You will prepare accurate cost estimates, review technical drawings and project specifications, and collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, clients and suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and project bids
- Review project specifications, drawings and technical documentation
- Obtain, evaluate and negotiate supplier quotations
- Prepare detailed cost reports and documentation
- Participate in project meetings and liaise with clients and suppliers
- Support project managers to ensure successful project delivery
- Manage multiple projects on-site with attention to detail
Ideal Candidate
- Experience in cost estimation, budget analysis and preparing project bids
- Ability to review technical drawings and project specifications
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication, analytical thinking and organisational skills
- Knowledge of steel piling or construction projects is desirable but not essential
- Academic or vocational qualifications in engineering, construction, quantity surveying or related field
- Ability to work on-site and manage multiple projects efficiently
