Construction Estimator – Refurbishment & New Build Manchester, £40,000 – £60,000 + Package Your new company: Our client is a reputable construction contractor based in Manchester, specializing in refurbishment and new-build projects. They deliver high-quality work across healthcare, education, commercial, and public sectors. Your new role: Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to manage the estimating process for refurbishment and new-build projects up to £5 million. You\’ll ensure cost-efficiency and high-quality project delivery. Responsibilities will include: Preparing accurate cost estimates for projects. Reviewing and analyzing plans, specifications, and scope. Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Conducting site visits for scope assessments. Preparing and issuing tender documentation. Ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards. Managing relationships with stakeholders. Identifying cost-saving opportunities. Supporting senior management with cost analysis and budgeting. What you will need to succeed: Proven experience as a Construction Estimator in refurbishment and new-build sectors. Experience with projects up to £5 million. Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., CostX, Conquest). Knowledge of building regulations and safety standards. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Degree or qualification in construction, quantity surveying, or related field (preferred).
