Purpose of the Role

To manage the day-to-day operation of the housing scheme, providing a safe, well-maintained environment and excellent customer service. The Scheme Manager will support resident wellbeing, encourage independent living, and act as the main point of contact for residents and partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build positive relationships with residents and provide day-to-day support.
  • Conduct wellbeing checks and respond to resident concerns and safeguarding issues.
  • Promote resident engagement and organise community activities.
  • Ensure communal areas are safe, clean, secure, and well maintained.
  • Carry out scheme inspections and report maintenance issues.
  • Liaise with contractors, support agencies, healthcare professionals, and local authorities.
  • Support new residents moving into the scheme.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and housing management systems.
  • Respond to enquiries and provide information on available support services.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in housing, supported housing, retirement living, social care, or customer service.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and health & safety requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Competent IT skills and record-keeping experience.
