Our client is a well-established and growing civils contractor operating across the infrastructure, highways, and water sectors. Due to continued project wins and long-term frameworks, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
The Role
You will be responsible for the commercial processes of projects from pre-contract through to final account, ensuring cost control, value recovery, and commercial compliance across multiple schemes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Commercial process of infrastructure, highways, and water projects
- Preparation, estimation, submission, and negotiation of interim valuations and final accounts
- Managing variations, change control, and contractual correspondence
- Cost forecasting, reporting, and risk management
- Procurement and management of subcontractors
- Ensuring compliance with contractual and company commercial procedures
- Working closely with operational teams to maximise project performance
About You
- Minimum 10 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Proven background in infrastructure, highways, and/or water projects
- Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g. NEC, ICE, JCT)
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
