Tired of being just another cog in the machine? This is your chance to be part of something from the ground up. We are recruiting on behalf of a young, ambitious construction consultancy in Preston that is rewriting the rulebook and they are looking for an Associate Director (Quantity Surveyor) to help drive their next phase of growth. This isn’t about slotting into a rigid corporate structure. This is about stepping into a key leadership role at a business that is small enough for you to make a real impact, who are already building a portfolio that punches well above its weight.
What’s the deal? This consultancy was founded by industry leaders who wanted to do things differently - less bureaucracy, more creativity; less box-ticking, more value-adding. They are growing fast, winning exciting projects across commercial, residential, heritage, and public sectors, and are now looking for someone who can own the QS function at a senior level. They are not looking for someone to follow. They are looking for someone to build with.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading cost consultancy services across a variety of design-led, high-quality projects
- Acting as a trusted advisor to clients - commercially sharp and solution-focused
- Mentoring and developing junior talent (and helping grow the QS team from the ground up)
- Playing a hands-on role in shaping business strategy, processes, and culture
