Role Overview:

As an Architectural Technician, you'll be an integral part of our project delivery team, contributing to the design and technical detailing of residential developments. Key Responsibilities:
- Architectural Design: Assist with the creation of residential building designs, ensuring technical precision and compliance with planning regulations, especially for developments on difficult or problem land.
- Detailed Drawings: Prepare detailed technical drawings, including site plans, floor plans, elevations, and construction details, using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all designs meet the necessary building regulations, local authority planning requirements, and sustainability standards.
- Project Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to help deliver housing developments on time, within budget, and to the required quality.
- Site Engagement: Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and address any issues that arise during the building phase, ensuring designs are accurately implemented.
- Documentation: Compile and submit necessary documentation, including technical specifications, building regulation approvals, and planning submissions.
- Problem-Solving: Provide solutions to design and site challenges, particularly when working with difficult sites or land with specific constraints.

What We're Looking For:
- Relevant Qualifications: Seeking an individual with an engineering-related qualification, degree, or equivalent. The ideal candidate will possess strong proficiency in design and technical software such as Revit and AutoCAD, along with advanced IT skills, including extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in an architectural or technical role, preferably within the residential development sector.
- Proficiency in Software: Strong knowledge of AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Technical Expertise: Sound understanding of building regulations, planning policies, and construction processes, particularly in residential developments and projects involving problem land.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to produce precise, well-structured technical drawings and solve design challenges with accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with colleagues, clients, and external contractors.
