An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take a key commercial role within the business. You will lead the commercial management of major groundworks projects, mentor junior team members and work closely with senior management to drive profitability and performance.
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:
- Full commercial responsibility for commercial & industrial groundworks projects
- Preparing and managing project budgets, forecasts and cost reports
- Leading subcontract procurement, negotiations and account management
- Managing valuations, variations and final accounts
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
- Supporting and mentoring Quantity Surveyors and junior staff
- Working closely with operational and senior management teams
The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will have:
- Strong experience in a Senior QS role within groundworks, civils or infrastructure
- Proven track record delivering commercial and/or industrial projects
- Excellent knowledge of cost control, subcontract management and contracts
- Confident communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise workload effectively
- Relevant construction or commercial qualification (preferred)
