An established and well-respected construction contractor specialising in commercial and industrial groundworks and civil engineering projects across the North West. With a strong pipeline of secured work and long-standing client relationships, the business has built a reputation for delivering high-quality projects safely, on time and within budget.

Due to continued growth, the company is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of multiple groundworks projects. This is a hands-on role working closely with operational teams, subcontractors and clients, offering excellent exposure across the full project lifecycle.

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing commercial aspects of commercial & industrial groundworks projects
  • Preparing and managing project budgets and cost plans
  • Procuring subcontractors and managing subcontract accounts
  • Valuations, variations and final accounts
  • Monitoring costs and ensuring projects remain commercially viable
  • Supporting contract administration and commercial reporting
  • Working closely with site teams to drive performance and profitability

The successful Quantity Surveyor will have:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within groundworks, civils or infrastructure
  • Experience working on commercial and/or industrial projects
  • Strong understanding of cost control, subcontract management and valuations
  • Good commercial awareness and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with site and management teams
  • Relevant construction or commercial qualification (desirable but not essential)
