About the Role
Building Careers UK are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Skilled Plumber to join a social housing contractor, carrying out plumbing repairs, void works and day-to-day maintenance across properties throughout Manchester and Lancashire .
This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with an immediate start, offering £20.00 per hour CIS, along with a company van and fuel card. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to secure a permanent position following the temporary period.
The ideal candidate will have strong plumbing experience alongside additional multi-trade skills, particularly joinery, plastering and tiling. Experience within social housing maintenance is highly desirable, and candidates must be confident working independently to complete repairs to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities

Carrying out plumbing repairs and maintenance within social housing properties

Completing void property works and day-to-day responsive repairs

Undertaking additional joinery, plastering and tiling works

Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs efficiently

Ensuring properties are completed to a high standard and ready for occupation

Identifying and reporting any additional repair requirements

Working safely and in line with health and safety regulations

Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach when working in residents' homes
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

Relevant NVQ qualification in Plumbing

Strong experience in plumbing repairs and maintenance
-
Proven multi-trade experience in joinery, plastering and tiling
-
Previous experience in social housing or property maintenance

Valid Asbestos Awareness certificate

A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points

Own tools suitable for the role

The ability to work independently and deliver high-quality workmanship

A reliable and professional approach to work
