The RoleAs an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with the wider commercial team, gaining exposure to major residential and high-rise projects from pre-construction through to final account.
Key responsibilities will include: Supporting the Quantity Surveying team with the commercial management of projectsAssisting with valuations, applications for payment, variations, and final accountsSupporting the preparation of CVRs, cost reports, and financial forecastsAssisting with subcontract procurement and account managementReviewing project costs and identifying commercial risks and opportunitiesWorking closely with site and project teams to monitor project performanceAssisting with contract administration and commercial reportingSupporting the senior commercial team throughout the project lifecycleDeveloping strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliersThe Ideal CandidateThe successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor will have: Previous experience within a construction or Quantity Surveying environmentIdeally some experience within residential constructionA Quantity Surveying or construction-related qualification, or be working towards oneGood understanding of construction costs and commercial processesStrong numerical and analytical skillsExcellent attention to detail and organisational skillsGood communication and interpersonal skillsStrong Microsoft Excel and IT skillsA proactive attitude with a desire to progress within the commercial functionWhat's on Offer£35,000 - £40,000 salaryExcellent benefits packageOpportunity to work on major residential and Build to Rent developmentsExposure to projects ranging from £5m to £100mExcellent career progression opportunitiesProfessional development and trainingOpportunity to work alongside an experienced commercial teamLong-term opportunity within an established and growing contractorApply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.
