Our client is a well-established independent construction consultancy providing professional quantity surveying, project management, employer's agent, and cost consultancy services across the UK. With decades of industry experience, they have built an excellent reputation for delivering commercially focused advice and successfully managing projects across the residential, commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, retail, and public sectors.
Known for their collaborative approach and commitment to delivering value for clients, the business works closely with developers, contractors, local authorities, and private sector organisations from project inception through to completion. Due to continued growth and an expanding workload, they are now seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in Telford.
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:
- Providing professional quantity surveying services across a diverse portfolio of construction projects
- Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans throughout the project lifecycle
- Managing valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Undertaking cost reporting and financial forecasting
- Advising clients on commercial and contractual matters
- Supporting contract administration under JCT and NEC forms of contract
- Carrying out risk management and value engineering exercises
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders
The successful Quantity Surveyor will have:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within either a Private Quantity Surveying consultancy or a Main Contractor environment
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge, ideally including JCT and/or NEC contracts
- Experience managing projects through the full commercial lifecycle
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
