Due to continued growth, an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor is required to support the commercial delivery of multiple residential developments from pre-construction through to final account. Working closely with operational teams, subcontractors, and senior management, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered profitably and efficiently.
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the commercial aspects of D&B housing developments from inception to completion
- Preparing and managing project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
- Procuring subcontractors and negotiating contract terms
- Managing subcontractor accounts, valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Monitoring project costs and identifying opportunities for cost savings and value engineering
- Producing accurate monthly CVRs and financial reporting
- Working collaboratively with site and project management teams to support successful project delivery
- Managing risk and resolving commercial issues effectively
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will have:
- Proven experience as a Senior QS within the residential construction sector
- Strong knowledge of D&B housing projects
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent understanding of JCT contracts and commercial processes
- Strong analytical and financial management skills
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline preferred
- Full UK driving licence
