Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Electrical Engineer to join their expanding team.

The Role

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, specification, and delivery of electrical building services projects from concept through to completion. Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to projects across commercial, residential, healthcare, education, industrial, and public sector developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design electrical building services systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarms, security systems, and data/communications.
  • Produce engineering calculations, specifications, technical reports, and design documentation.
  • Develop designs using industry-standard software and BIM methodologies where appropriate.
  • Coordinate with mechanical engineers, architects, structural engineers, and other consultants.
  • Attend client, design team, and site meetings.
  • Carry out site inspections and monitor installation quality where required.
  • Ensure designs comply with current UK regulations, British Standards, and industry best practice.
  • Support projects through all RIBA stages, from feasibility to completion.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • A degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
  • Experience working within a building services consultancy.
  • Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations, BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations), and relevant British Standards.
  • Experience using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech/Trimble ProDesign, Dialux, Relux, or similar.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to manage workloads effectively and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Working towards, or already holding, professional accreditation (IEng or CEng) would be advantageous.
