Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team, supporting the delivery of major green energy infrastructure projects across Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity to take a leading commercial role on a flagship programme that is directly contributing to the UK's transition to sustainable energy. You will be working within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment alongside engineers, project managers, and senior client stakeholders.
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of the full commercial lifecycle across multiple infrastructure packages, ensuring robust cost control, contractual compliance, and effective financial management throughout project delivery. You will be responsible for both strategic oversight and hands-on commercial administration, supporting successful delivery outcomes across complex energy projects.
- Full end-to-end commercial management of major energy infrastructure projects
- Detailed cost reporting, cash flow forecasting, and financial performance analysis
- Administration and management of subcontractor and supplier contracts
- Application of value engineering techniques to optimise project outcomes
- Identification, assessment, and management of project risks and opportunities
- Full change management lifecycle, including variations and contractual claims
- Providing clear, informed commercial advice to project teams and senior stakeholders
- Ensuring strict compliance with client and company commercial procedures
About the Projects: You will be working on high-value Yorkshire Green energy infrastructure schemes, supporting the development of sustainable power networks that are critical to regional and national decarbonisation goals. These projects are technically complex, commercially significant, and strategically important within the UK energy sector.
Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on large-scale infrastructure, utilities, or energy projects.
- Strong understanding of commercial frameworks, ideally including NEC and/or JCT contracts
- Demonstrable experience in cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Confident in managing change control, variations, and commercial risk
