Operating across the highways, bridges, drainage, structures, utilities, environmental, and development infrastructure sectors, they have built an outstanding reputation for delivering technically demanding projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

With a strong portfolio of framework agreements and repeat business across both the public and private sectors, the business continues to invest heavily in its people, specialist plant, and modern construction techniques. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their operational leadership team.

The Role

  • Leading the successful delivery of multiple civil engineering projects across the North West
  • Managing complex highways, bridge, Section 278, and infrastructure schemes from inception through to completion
  • Providing leadership and direction to Project Managers, Site Managers, Engineers, and site teams
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • Developing and maintaining detailed construction programmes
  • Managing client relationships and acting as the key point of contact throughout project delivery
  • Working closely with commercial teams to monitor project performance, budgets, and profitability
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks while implementing effective solutions
  • Ensuring compliance with all contractual, health & safety, environmental, and quality requirements
  • Supporting business development through maintaining strong client relationships and identifying future opportunities

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager within the civil engineering sector
  • Essential experience delivering Roads, Bridges, and Section 278 works
  • Experience working for a recognised civil engineering contractor
  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and civil engineering project delivery
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong commercial awareness and programme management experience
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications
  • HNC, HND, or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction discipline
  • Full UK Driving Licence
