The Role
As Senior Claims Surveyor, you will take a lead role in the preparation, management, negotiation, and resolution of complex construction claims. You will work closely with senior commercial and project teams, clients, legal advisors, and other stakeholders to ensure the company's contractual and commercial position is protected.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and managing complex contractual claims across major construction projects
- Leading Extension of Time (EOT), disruption, loss and expense, and associated claims
- Reviewing contracts and project records to establish entitlement and quantum
- Preparing detailed contractual and commercial submissions
- Negotiating claims with clients, consultants, and other project stakeholders
- Providing specialist contractual and claims advice to project and commercial teams
- Supporting the preparation of matters for adjudication and wider dispute resolution
- Reviewing project documentation, programmes, records, correspondence, and commercial information
- Identifying potential claims and commercial risks at an early stage
- Working alongside Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers to maximise contractual entitlement
- Supporting senior management with complex contractual and commercial matters
- Maintaining strong, professional client relationships throughout the claims process
The Ideal Candidate
The successful Senior Claims Surveyor will have:
- 10+ years' Quantity Surveying experience
- Significant experience working on major building, infrastructure, or complex construction projects
- Extensive experience preparing and negotiating EOT, disruption, loss
