Chester – £40,000 – £50,000 + package
About the Company
An established and well-respected construction contractor specialising in commercial and industrial groundworks and civil engineering projects across the North West. With a strong pipeline of secured work and long-standing client relationships, the business has built a reputation for delivering high-quality projects safely, on time and within budget.
The Role
Due to continued growth, the company is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of multiple groundworks projects. This is a hands-on role working closely with operational teams, subcontractors and clients, offering excellent exposure across the full project lifecycle.
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

Managing commercial aspects of commercial & industrial groundworks projects

Preparing and managing project budgets and cost plans
-
Procuring subcontractors and managing subcontract accounts

Valuations, variations and final accounts
-
Monitoring costs and ensuring projects remain commercially viable

Supporting contract administration and commercial reporting

Working closely with site teams to drive performance and profitability
The Ideal Candidate
The successful Quantity Surveyor will have:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within groundworks, civils or infrastructure

Experience working on commercial and/or industrial projects
-
Strong understanding of cost control, subcontract management and valuations

Good commercial awareness and problem-solving skills

Ability to work collaboratively with site and management teams

Relevant construction or commercial qualification (desirable but not essential)
