We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established and growing construction company, for an experienced Estimator to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded individual to work on a varied portfolio of construction, refurbishment, fit-out, and maintenance projects across multiple sectors.
The Role
As an Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates, tender submissions, and pricing packages while supporting the successful delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing detailed estimates and tender documents
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Sourcing and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Identifying risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal project teams
- Assisting with budgets, cost planning, and commercial reporting
- Ensuring all tenders are submitted accurately and on time
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as an Estimator within the construction industry
- Strong understanding of construction methods and materials
- Experience with refurbishment, fit-out, maintenance, or new build projects
- Excellent commercial awareness and numerical skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong communication and organisational abilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and estimating software
