Our client is a well-established and growing M&E contractor, delivering high-quality projects across the commercial, industrial and residential sectors. Due to continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, they are looking to appoint an experienced M&E Contracts Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and commercially minded professional to take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple projects, working closely with clients, site teams, subcontractors and senior management.
As M&E Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing projects from contract award through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Managing multiple M&E projects from commencement through to completion.
- Taking overall responsibility for project delivery, programme, commercial performance and client satisfaction.
- Managing and coordinating site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
- Reviewing contracts, specifications, drawings and project documentation.
- Monitoring project costs, budgets, variations and commercial performance.
- Ensuring projects are delivered in line with agreed programmes and deadlines.
- Liaising directly with clients, consultants and main contractors.
- Attending site meetings and providing regular project updates.
- Ensuring all works comply with current health & safety, quality and industry standards.
- Identifying and managing project risks, issues and potential delays.
- Supporting the preparation and submission of variations, valuations and final accounts.
- Ensuring projects are properly documented and handed over on completion.
The successful candidate will have proven experience within an M&E contracting environment, ideally with a strong electrical background and previous experience managing projects and contracts. You should be:
- Experienced in M&E project or contracts management.
- Commercially aware with a strong understanding of contract management.
- Confident managing clients, subcontractors and internal teams.
- Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable working to deadlines and taking ownership of projects from start to finish.
Relevant qualifications within electrical engineering, building services, construction or project management would be advantageous, along with relevant industry certifications.
