Job Description
Our client is a well-established and respected engineering consultancy delivering innovative building services solutions across a diverse range of sectors.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join their expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who is passionate about delivering high-quality mechanical building services designs and enjoys working collaboratively on a variety of exciting projects.
The Role As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of mechanical building services systems from concept through to completion.
Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to projects across commercial, residential, education, healthcare, industrial, and public sector developments.
Key Responsibilities Design mechanical building services including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, domestic water, and drainage systems.
Produce engineering calculations, specifications, reports, and technical documentation.
Develop designs using industry-standard software and BIM methodologies where appropriate.
Attend client, design team, and site meetings.
Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other consultants.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards.
Assist with site inspections and monitor installation quality where required.
Maintain compliance with current regulations, standards, and best practice.
About You The successful candidate will have: A degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
Experience within a building services consultancy environment.
Good knowledge of UK building regulations and relevant industry standards.
Experience using design software such as Hevacomp, IES, Auto CAD, Revit, or similar.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
The ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
Working towards, or already holding, professional accreditation (IEng or CEng) would be advantageous.
