We are seeking an Intermediate Estimator to join a busy and forward-thinking construction business delivering industrial, commercial, residential, and refurbishment projects up to £20 million. The successful candidate will assist in preparing accurate and competitive estimates, supporting the senior estimating team, and contributing to bid submissions. Causeway software experience is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing cost estimates for industrial, commercial, residential, and refurbishment projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to understand project requirements.
- Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Maintain estimating databases and standard rates, including labour, plant, and materials.
- Support the production of tender submissions, bills of quantities, and cost reports.
- Collaborate with the commercial and project teams to ensure accurate and timely estimates.
Key Requirements
- Experience as an Estimator within the construction sector, ideally covering industrial, commercial, residential, and refurbishment projects.
- Competent in Causeway software.
- Strong numeracy, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
