A Regional Contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Site Engineer for projects throughout the North West. Projects typically range between £3m to £10m in value and are predominantly within the Education, Health, Commercial and Leisure sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer to take responsibility on complex builds and support site teams from early stages through to completion.

The Role:

  • Leading setting out, levelling, and surveying activities on commercial projects
  • Reviewing and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and technical details
  • Providing technical support to site management and junior engineers
  • Coordinating with subcontractors, consultants, and design teams
  • Overseeing quality control, inspections, and compliance documentation
  • Monitoring programme progress and assisting with short-term planning
  • Ensuring works are delivered to high health, safety, and environmental standards

Experience:

  • Previous Setting out experience on a range of building projects for Main Contractors
  • Minimum HNC in Civil Engineering
  • Highly competent with surveying equipment and engineering software
  • Knowledge of relevant building and health and safety legislation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
