Our client is a well-established specialist contractor delivering complex concrete frame, structural, and construction projects across the UK. Working in partnership with leading developers, main contractors, and investors, they have built an outstanding reputation for delivering technically challenging schemes safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. With expertise spanning high-rise residential, mixed-use, commercial, and large-scale regeneration developments, the business continues to secure landmark projects through its commitment to quality, innovation, and collaborative working. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of a major long-term project.

The Role

  • Managing the delivery of an 80-week concrete frame project from inception through to completion
  • Leading site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, and within budget
  • Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and client representatives
  • Developing and managing construction programmes and monitoring project progress
  • Ensuring compliance with all health & safety, quality, and environmental standards
  • Managing project resources and resolving operational challenges efficiently
  • Working closely with commercial teams to monitor project costs, variations, and programme implications
  • Chairing site meetings and providing regular progress updates to senior management and clients
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks to ensure successful delivery
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering major construction projects
  • Essential experience managing concrete frame projects
  • Previous experience working on high-rise residential, mixed-use, or large-scale structural developments
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent programme management and organisational abilities
  • Sound knowledge of health & safety legislation and construction best practices
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent attention to detail
  • Relevant construction qualifications (HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent)
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Availability to start at short notice would be advantageous
