With an excellent reputation for quality delivery, attention to detail and long-standing client relationships, the business works on fast-paced fit-out and refurbishment schemes ranging from small works through to projects valued at £3 million. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Fit-Out Estimator to join their commercial team in Huddersfield.
Working within a busy estimating department, you will be responsible for preparing competitive tenders and cost estimates for retail, hospitality and leisure fit-out projects nationwide. You will liaise closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal delivery teams to ensure accurate pricing and successful project handovers.
As Fit-Out Estimator, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for commercial fit-out projects
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Producing accurate take-offs and cost plans
- Identifying value engineering opportunities
- Attending site visits and pre-tender meetings where required
- Working closely with project delivery and commercial teams throughout the tender process
- Managing multiple tenders simultaneously within strict deadlines
- Supporting negotiations and assisting with securing new business opportunities
The successful Fit-Out Estimator will have:
- Previous estimating experience within retail, hospitality or leisure fit-out projects
- A strong understanding of commercial interiors and shopfitting
- Experience pricing projects up to £3 million
- Excellent knowledge of subcontractor packages and fit-out materials
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- The ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software
