With an exciting pipeline of new residential developments and continued investment in their people, they are now seeking an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team and develop a long-term career within the housebuilding sector.

As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the commercial management of new build housing developments from procurement through to final account
  • Supporting the preparation of subcontractor packages, enquiries, and orders
  • Assisting with subcontractor valuations, payments, and final accounts
  • Monitoring project costs and assisting with cost reporting and CVRs
  • Managing variations and maintaining accurate commercial records
  • Working closely with Site Managers, Buyers, and the wider commercial team
  • Building strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
  • Ensuring commercial procedures are followed throughout the project lifecycle

The successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor will have:

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor within housebuilding or residential construction
  • Alternatively, experience with a Main Contractor looking to move into the housebuilding sector will also be considered
  • Good commercial awareness and a willingness to develop within a supportive team
  • Degree qualified or working towards a qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
  • Full UK Driving Licence
