We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a growing HVAC and building services contractor operating across commercial and care environments throughout the UK. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with an immediate start available, offering long-term, stable work for the right candidate.
Please note: this role involves regular UK-wide travel, so flexibility to work away from home when required is essential.
The Role:
- You will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on a range of commercial heating systems and gas appliances within live commercial and care environments.
- Duties will include:
- Servicing and maintenance of commercial gas appliances
- Commercial boiler servicing and breakdown response
- Fault finding and repairs on heating systems and plant
- Testing, purging, and commissioning of systems
- Completing compliance documentation and digital job reports
- Working independently within a lone working environment
- Participation in an Out of Hours on-call rota
- Working within live care home and commercial settings
- Travelling to sites across the UK as required
Requirements:
- Essential:
- ACS Commercial Gas Qualifications (COCN1 or CODNCO1)
- CIGA1
- ICPN1
- TPCP1A
- Valid Gas Safe Registration
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience working within commercial plant rooms
- Desirable:
- LPG qualifications
- Experience working within care or healthcare environments
- Strong fault-finding skills
- Good communication and customer-facing approach
