Our client is an established and highly regarded private housebuilder delivering high-quality residential developments across the North West. With a strong land pipeline and continued investment in future developments, the business has built an excellent reputation for quality, customer satisfaction, and long-term growth. As part of their continued expansion, they are now seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team and play a key role in the successful delivery of multiple residential developments.

As Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the commercial management of new build housing developments from procurement through to final account
  • Preparing and managing subcontractor enquiries, orders, and accounts
  • Producing applications for payment, valuations, variations, and final accounts
  • Monitoring project budgets and ensuring effective cost control
  • Procuring subcontractors and negotiating competitive packages
  • Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
  • Working closely with Site Managers, Buyers, Technical Teams, and senior commercial staff
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants
  • Ensuring commercial procedures are followed throughout the project lifecycle

The successful Intermediate Quantity Surveyor will have:

  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the residential housebuilding sector
  • Alternatively, experience with a Main Contractor looking to move into housebuilding will also be considered
  • Strong commercial awareness and cost management experience
  • Knowledge of subcontract procurement and account management
  • Experience producing CVRs, valuations, and final accounts
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
  • Full UK Driving Licence
