The Opportunity

You will take a lead role in the commercial management of infrastructure projects, working across sectors such as highways, rail, utilities, and major public realm developments. Key Responsibilities

  • Take full commercial ownership of civils and infrastructure projects from inception to completion
  • Lead cost planning, estimating, and budgeting activities
  • Manage procurement strategies and tender processes
  • Administer contracts (NEC preferred), including variations, compensation events, and claims
  • Produce accurate cost reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities
  • Provide strategic advice and challenge to clients and stakeholders
  • Support and mentor junior surveyors, contributing to team growth

About You

  • Demonstrable experience as a Quantity Surveyor within infrastructure or civil engineering projects (essential)
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial frameworks
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and commercially driven
  • Experience managing multiple projects or complex workstreams
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (or equivalent experience)
  • Working towards or already chartered (RICS or equivalent) is advantageous
