About the Role
We are looking to recruit an experienced Plumber / Gas Engineer to join our team delivering works within the Social Housing sector. The role will involve working across tenanted properties throughout the North West, carrying out mainly plumbing works alongside some gas-related duties. This position will be approximately 80% plumbing and 20% gas work, making it ideal for a qualified plumber who also holds gas certifications and is comfortable carrying out gas-related works when required. The successful candidate will be working within occupied properties, so a professional approach, good communication skills and strong customer service are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out general plumbing repairs and installations in tenanted properties
- Completing gas-related works when required
- Diagnosing and repairing faults in domestic plumbing systems
- Working safely and efficiently within occupied social housing properties
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety and compliance regulations
- Providing a professional service while working in residents' homes
Requirements
- To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent)
- Valid Gas Safe / Gas qualifications
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Previous experience working within the Social Housing sector
- Experience working within tenanted / occupied properties
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
